This is what our group decided to have as our final logo design, it is a combination of all of our original designs:
Our logo is called FA Productions, short for Film Arc Productions. We wanted to add a little bit of each of our logos into the whole logo, so the rainbow comes from my logo, the Emily had the moon, and Bonnie had the star. We decided to base our design on Dani's original design. I think our logo is very simplistic, we decided to use black and white because we didn't want the whole design to be too much to look at with lots of colours. We went for the circle, because from that we can make a giff, and it's an easy shape to use. The cross in the middle symbolises the crossing of all of our ideas, and is also a great way to split up the 4 sections. I think personally I would prefer the words Film Arc to be within the logo, as I think it makes the logo clearer, and makes the name better known, but because it was a group decision we decided we wanted FA.

Deciding on our Logo
For the preliminary task, I am working with Danielle White, Emily Board and Bonnie Ambrose. We put our four logos together, along with the names of our production company and decided what we were going to call ourselves. We decided out of all of the names we liked Film Arc the most, and out of all the Logo's we liked Danielle's design the most, so we combined the two.
This was Danielle's original logo. From this we changed the D and W to F and A. We also added elements of different parts of all of our logos, so where the 3 stars are at the top, we changed it to a star, a moon and a rainbow, as this combined a part of all of our original logo.
This is us discussing it:
We then drew roughly what we wanted our logo to look like, so we could then design it on the computer later on:

Script for our Preliminary Task
For our preliminary task we decided to write a script, in order to make it fluid, and to help up with our storyboard. This is the script with the conversation between the police officer and the criminal:
Walk
towards interrogation room, File Lady hands Police Officer some
files. Guard opens the door, and Police officer enters the room. In
the room a criminal is sat at the table, hoodie on, handcuffed to
table. Guard already in room. Police officer walks across room and
sits down opposite the criminal. Match on Action.
Police
Officer: Shot reverse shot over shoulder. So Tisha Mullins,
where were you on the night of the incident?
Tisha:
Shot reverse shot over shoulder. No comment
Police
Officer: Shot reverse shot over shoulder. We have various
witness statements that tell us exactly where you were on the night,
do you want to comment now?
Tisha:
Shot reverse shot over shoulder. No comment
Police
Officer: 180 degree. What is your relationship with Shan
Tanner? She's told us quite a lot about your activies on the night of
the incident
Tisha:
180 degree. Lean towards police officer. How do you
know about Shan? What has she told you?
Police
Officer: 180 degree. Enough to get you testified.
Tisha:
Match on Action. Slaps police officer.
My Logo Design
This is my analysis of my logo. There are 7 elements that need to be included in a logo in order to make it magical. I wanted to combine my name, with an image that is similar and links in a way to my name. From the name film arc I found a picture of a rainbow, and merged the two together, enhancing and changing some of the colours when I was doing it. Here is what I did with the 7 elements:
1. Symbols - I wanted to use a rainbow because my name is FilmArc and a rainbow is an arc. I found an image with a rainbow that I liked, and added FilmArc to it.
2. Colours - I wanted to have bright colours, because it stands out more, and is more attractive to look at.
3. Words - I used a generator to find the name for my film company. I loved the name FilmArc when I saw it, and from that name I made my logo.
4. Fonts - I went for a slightly curved font because it curls like the arc of the rainbow does.
5. Shapes - I wanted an Arc from FilmArc, and experimented with using plain arcs. I didn't like it, and wanted more colour, and then thought that rainbows have arcs. That was the shape I wanted in my logo.
6. Clarity and Boldness - I like the the rainbow in my font is in the background, and quite blurry, but the tree, field and the words are quite bold. Because everything else is bold, but the rainbow is less in focus, it draws your eyes to the rainbow.
7. Creativity - I think to be even more creative with my work I could have taken my own picture of a rainbow, or spoken to someone who I know who takes photos and asked them to take a picture of a rainbow for me.

Statement of Intent
I am Kayleigh Gazzard, a 17 year old student. I am a huge fan of anything Music, any genre. Music is my biggest passion. Coming off from that, I also love musical theatre, and hope to pursue a career in Music or Musical Theatre. I started a YouTube channel about a year ago, because I thought it was exciting and I'd never done something like it before. I found it hard, it took a lot more work then I expected it too, and I gave up on Vlogs. I'm hoping in the future to start singing and putting music videos on YouTube, as this is something I feel I would really enjoy.
My favourite actress is Jennifer Lawrence. When she's talking to the Media, she's completely down to earth, and she fangirls over some of her icons, probably not even realising how much of an icon she is to people. She also fully embraces her acting, she's not acting as her characters, she becomes them, and I fully believe she is that character.
I like watching a wide variety of films, but my favourite genre is probably musical theatre or comedy films. I loved the recent film of Les Miserables because it was the only musical theatre film where the actors were singing live as they were acting and filming, and I think it's an amazing film for being able to accomplish that.
I currently take Music and Drama at A-Level and decided to pick up Media as an AS level because I thought it was a good link for my two other subjects and it will also help with my YouTube. My YouTube channel has given me a lot of experience in editing videos, syncing music recorded on a microphone onto clips recorded on a camera, and it has also increased my confidence on putting videos I've created online.
By doing Media I hope to gain more of an understanding of the Media and Film industry, as well as develop my own skills creating videos. I hope to learn to edit on Mac's rather than a PC, as I feel the software is more advanced and will make a better video.
