When I first started editing my opening sequence it was really hard to pick what song I wanted. I went on a website I knew called www.danosongs.com, but I just couldn't find a song which I felt matched my piece. I listened to a variety along with my piece, but none seemed to click, so I gave up. Instead I went onto GarageBand to create it that way instead. From this I created my own piece. I struggled with the programme to begin with, it was hard to try and get used to it, but I eventually got the hang of it and created a piece I really felt went with the mood of my opening sequence, but it wasn't too much so that's all the viewer was focusing on.

Equipment List
Our Equipment list isn't particularly big, as I have also done a prop list seperately. Here is the stuff we used:
- Nikon Coolpix P310 Digital Camera
- Microphone
- Mac
Anything else I used is in my prop list.
Graphic Breakdowns
In order to try and make our film openings as realistic as possible we had to produce three graphic breakdowns of films which are within the genre of our film.
The first film I picked was Skyfall. Skyfall is classed as an action thriller. Here is the opening sequence:
And below is my graphic breakdown:
I chose this film because the opening sequence uses a variety of graphic techniques which I thought was very interesting to watch.
The next film I picked because I wanted to originally experiment with animation within my opening sequence, however it never went ahead. I picked the film Coraline. Below is the opening sequence:
And below is my graphic breakdown:
The next film I chose because it had a very simple opening sequence which I thought was very interesting, rather than a very intense opening sequence. It is also a thriller. I chose Inception. Below is the opening sequence:
And here is my graphic breakdown:
I learnt a lot from this process, there is a lot more that goes into an opening sequence than it might originally seem, which will really help me when it comes to me adding graphic changes to mine.

Question 4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
When deciding my target audience there were a lot of things
to consider. Gender, age and interest, are, in my opinion, the most important
thing. I think my target audience would be between the ages of 15 and 30, and
both genders would be interested in my films. I also think my target audience
would have an interest in solving puzzles, and also in anything that is
mysterious.
The female below is another representation. She is 20 and is studying Art, but she often helps Media students with their filming as she thinks of very creative shots. She is often seen reading a Marvel Comic, and loves to go to the cinema. She wants to create comics when she graduates.
